Heather & Stephen – Charlotte, NC Wedding Photographers

Heather & Stephen have a love for each other and technology.  They incorporated their love for technology in both their engagement session and wedding. Click here for more pic on facebook.com/whitneyphoto

Heather & Stephen were married on St. Patrick’s day. Heather loves the color green so this was perfect!  The weather was amazing! We started the day with Heather getting her hair & make-up done at Aveda Institute in Charlotte, NC. From there we headed to their venue, The Grand Hall in Mt. Holly, so Heather could get dress in her beautiful gown from New York Bride & Groom. The trees were in bloom and (I don’t know what the white trees are called – cherry blossoms? feel free to let me know!) but how beautiful they were to have in your background.

Heather & Stephen got dressed and were ready to see each other for the first time.

We then walked around downtown Mt. Holly to get these shots…

Tracy from The Village Florist did a beautiful job with the bouquets.

After our time with Heather & Stephen we met up with the rest of the bridal party and had a bit of fun!

It’s ceremony time!!! When choosing their venue Heather & Stephen they loved the brick walls at The Grand Hall. They were not sure how to arrange their seating because the way the seating is traditionally done it would not showcase the venue as well. We gave them the idea of circle seating. LOVE IT! It came out awesome! I think it’s so sweet to see Heather’s smile and her mom getting so emotional as her dad walked her down the aisle.

The New iPad to read their vows 🙂

MARRIED!!! Now the receptions… Guests got to play a little game and wear a lucky Irish pin 🙂

Details… LOVED the green drink!

The penny in Heather’s bouquet was special because Heather’s grandparents have been married since 1956 (check out the penny).

First Dance…

Kerith + Michelle {Bridals}

We’re so excited to show off our latest pictures from TODAY! Every day we strive to continue to improve our quality and experience for our brides and grooms. We partnered with Classic Bridals and Formals in Cornelius, NC to show off some of their gorgeous gowns and some of our new lighting techniques. Kerith can help you find your perfect gown at Katherine’s Bridal Shop and Michelle is a newlywed who found her perfect gown at Classic Bridals and Formals.  A special thank you to Carey Roberts Design Co. for the beautiful white bouquet and Ribald Farms Nursery and Florist in Fort Mill, SC for the pink one (sorry we stink at the naming flowers).

We love shooting using natural light but wanted to add some dramatic lighting to our ‘bag of tricks’. These two great photos were taken seconds apart from each other.

Oh and we added a few behind the scenes pics. It’s nice to dress in jeans for engagements and bridal sessions since it’s easier to get on the ground for pics. I (Kisha) do like to dress up on wedding days so Ben is the lucky one to get on the ground to get certain angles 🙂

I get so excited when we get amazing pics I just have to share them 🙂

Ben working his magic.Yes, I’m on the ground. Even though it was a little wet somehow I stayed dry. Skyline of our beautiful city of Charlotte. LOVE the blue shoes on the road!

Let us know what you think!

Happy Birthday KISHA! {personal}

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

As I turn 27 again (ok..ok…30) I reflected on my life, blessings, challenges, areas to improve and areas that are going well. In my daily life, like many other women, I wear many hats: mommy,  wife, teacher, sister, daughter, photographer, designer, Christian, cheerleader, and more… I decided I need to take 1 day a year and pamper myself a little bit and create images that would be one part of my legacy to my children. Everyone woman should take at least 1 day to look and feel better about themselves and showcase their true beauty. There is NO PHOTOSHOP in any of the images of me to make me look any skinner and they were all taken the same day – it’s all about having a great photographer (which I happened to be married to) that knows about to pose you well! I fell so in love with this idea and had such a wonderful experience that we will definitely be dong more pictures for women like my photo shoot! Stay tuned!

Entertaining myself while Ben picked up my surprise birthday cake!

My hubby Ben…when there is a camera around, of course I’m going to take his picture too!

My babies and sis surprised me when we went to dinner in uptown with some balloons! Aren’t my babies cute?

My film cake by Cloud 9 confections

Rebeca wanted to pose too – future model 🙂 You can see more pics of Rebeca modeling for http://rufflebutts.com which is where her shirt is from.

Joshua wanted a picture with mommy – yes, he def. look like me – Rebeca is all daddy.

Special thanks:

Thanks to my sister Lucyleen for taking care of our babies so we could go out to take pics and doing Rebeca’s hair, Joy for doing my makeup, Carmen my hair, Cloud 9 Bakery in uptown for my birthday cake and my hubby Ben for taking my amazing pictures and listening to me when I said (make me look skinnier – yes I say that too). Thanks to everyone that wished me a happy birthday on facebook!
