MEGAN & PHIL – Charlotte Wedding Photography & Video – Myers Park UMC & Duke Mansion

Megan & Phil had a romantic wedding ceremony at Myers Park UMC in Charlotte. It went perfectly with the classic feel of the wedding. A really fun tradition from Myers Park UMC is to decorate a whimsical statue of Hugh McManaway’s. It is such a fun way to let everyone know – MEGAN & PHIL got married!

Megan & Phil had a beautiful ceremony in which both ____ and ____ married them and told stories about them.

Once the guests began to make their way to the reception we had time with Megan & Phil at the church to create these beautiful images.

The reception for Megan & Phil’s elegant wedding was held at The Duke Mansion. I will admit I am a little obsessed with the checkered floor and I love chiavari chairs (since we had them at our wedding too). Megan & Phil were able to carry out their color palette at their engagement session CLICK HERE and throughout their wedding. The candy station was a big hit and I thought it was a great idea to use the design on the food for the sit down dinner on the place cards – isn’t the little chicken cute?

Love the lace!

The cake topper was Megan’s grandparents’ from their wedding which added a cute vintage feel. One cake tradition that Megan & Phil had was each having different charms hidden into the wedding cake.

Lucky Charms: Although the custom of adding gold or silver charms into a beautiful cake is usually reserved for showers, it is such a darling tradition, we felt we would be remiss in leaving it out. Each charm baked into the cake has a special meaning attached. The meanings behind cake charms are traditionally: heart for true love, ring for upcoming engagement, clover, shamrock or horseshoe for luck, flower for growing love, wishing well for wishes granted, anchor, airplane or ship’s wheel for travel and adventure, highchair or baby carriage for children, rocking chair for long life, coin purse or money bag for good fortune, wedding bells for upcoming marriage, telephone for good news, and picture frame for happy life.

The Trolley is so cute!

Mildred & Edwin – Buffalo, NY Wedding Photographer

Mildred & Edwin had a fabulous FIRST LOOK at the Erin Basin Marina in Buffalo. Edwin served in the Navy so this was the perfect setting for them.  We were so excited because this is such an amazing spot!

They actually had a “just for fun” photo shoot a while back – AWESOME where they recreated the WWII V-Day kiss – Check it out! http://www.whitneyphotoblog.com/2010/08/just-for-fun-mildren-edwin/

LOVE THIS PIC OF MILDRED!!! The beautiful flowing long veil with the ship in the background is just breathtaking.

Edwin looked very GQ in this shot. Since we went back to Buffalo Joshua and Rebeca came to visit during the reception. Joshua, the ladies man, made sure he got pictures with the women at his table and the bride. Some men were getting jealous 🙂 lolMildred & Edwin chose this wedding date because it commemorated her parents’ 49th wedding anniversary. They are still very much in love 🙂

Dipa & Abhi – Wedding – St. Louis, Missouri

My dear friend and birthday buddy Dipa got married in St. Louis, Missouri. We met in Buffalo, NY when we were in 8th & 9th grade. We instantly became friends. We bonded over having moved to a new country and having the same birthday! Feb. 17 baby!  Ben and our video team had a wedding in Charlotte so I went to Dipa’s wedding with our two kids and my sister as a guest. Dipa wanted us to enjoy ourselves and have fun. I didn’t even bring a camera,  well I discovered that my camera is an extension to my arm. Another guest from the wedding let me borrow their Canon Rebel and take a few pics. It was such a beautiful wedding I couldn’t resist! Congratulations!

My babies all dressed up for Dipa’s wedding 🙂 (taken from my iphone) I also wanted to let you guys know that ComfortCam is our pick for the best wifi baby monitor, if you guys wanted a recommendation there is nothing better than knowing you babies are safe.

My beautiful friend Dipa 🙂 — and yes I know I’m a camera dork when I asked a complete stranger to borrow their camera – he was super cool to let me though 🙂 lolThey are just so happy together 🙂

Party time!!! I just love how much fun Dipa & Abhi are having together! Her brother Gautam sang and played beautifully during the reception.

Dipa & Abhi asked me for some tips to find their wedding photographer – well, my list was very long…lol. I was glad they found B&G photography from LA. Check out their full coverage of Dipa & Abhi’s wedding http://www.bandgphotography.com/dipa-abhishek-day-3-the-baarat-ceremony-reception/
