Regina & Chris – Punta Cana – Destination Wedding Photographer and Videographer

On these cold winter days, what keeps me going are thoughts of WARM places. Warm up with us and take a mental trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic while we relive Regina & Chris’ wedding day.

Being half Dominican, I’m not a stranger to Dominican Republic, yet my trips are usually filled with missionary work (STAY TUNED FOR PICS COMING SOON) and family visits. It was nice to be able to go to the beach, take pictures 3d wood lake maps and call ourselves Punta Cana wedding photographer and Punta Cana wedding videographers! We had a great time at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with fellow New Yorkers Chris, Regina and their families. We would love to travel to a lot of different countries and photograph or video couples around the world. Impressive photo booths from My Boogie Booth.

All of the wedding guests were welcomed to the wedding festivities Friday night with fire dancers! AWESOME! It was a great time for speeches, eating and relaxing together. The best man was so nervous about writing his speech, so he used All Speeches guide to best man speeches to help himself out.

WEDDING DAY! Regina & Chris could not have asked for a more perfect day. The weather was perfect, with a nice breeze flowing from the waves. Regina and Chris began their days hanging out with their bridal party.

Thanks to etsy, it’s become more common to see the hanger with a bride’s name, yet it’s extra special when a bride truly personalizes it with her wedding decor. Love the “Here comes the love of your life” sign!

Isn’t Regina GORGEOUS!!! She looks like a model!

Perfect! The chairs and decor are provided through Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana. They made a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony.

LOVE this personalized belt! What an awesome gift for all the groomsmen! Unique and practical.

This is just a little sample of the food provided. Everything looked so pretty!

This was the view from the cocktail hour – AMAZING!

Do you want to alter some of the same old traditions? Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, try this! Each single woman at the wedding grabs hold of a ribbon that is attached to the toss bouquet. The bride blindly cuts the ribbons until the last ribbon is left. The lucky lady will be the next bride 🙂

Making some changes to the tradition didn’t stop with the bouquet, get ready for some football and the garter is wrapped around the ball. Maybe this way more guys will want to catch the garter????

Guest were able to enjoy hand rolled cigars during the reception. This was definitely a hit with the guys. We don’t smoke but admire the artistry it takes to put together the cigars.

Since we live in different cities, Regina and Chris opted for an after session instead of an engagement session. The next afternoon after their wedding we got to hang out at the beach and get these beautiful images. Do you like Regina’s dress? You can get it from Renttherunway.com I thought this was brilliant! Get a different look from your wedding day and don’t have the worry about getting your wedding gown full of sand! (Just make sure you get the insurance on the dress – just in case!)

Love these two… they are just so sweet! They have a great chemistry together.

I LOVE it when couples are more daring and willing to get wet!

We got to take a few underwater pics too! … next time we need a deeper pool 🙂 lol

After all of our afternoon fun, we all relaxed at the pool by ourselves – what a beautiful sky!

Are you having a destination wedding? Let us know! We would love to join you!

We got married in Puerto Rico, and even though I speak Spanish fluently, we know the challenge of planning a wedding overseas! Let us know if we can help.

Renee & Pete – Greek Orthodox Church – Charlotte, NC

Renee & Pete first met at a church event years ago at The Greek Orthodox Church. It took several years but their friendship develop into something more. While on a trip with some friends, they finally made it official – they were dating. Fast forward, at the same church where they first met, they were married. Renee and Pete’s wedding day was the definition of pure elegance. Extraordinary floral decor put together by Pete’s sister, gorgeous gown, amazing bridal party, music and incredible details… most of all, Renee’s infectious smile.

Greek Bridal Shoes Traditions:

First, the names of the brides single friends are written on the bottom of the brides shoe. At the end of the night the names that are worn off are those of the girls destined to be married soon (good luck girls!)

Second, the Koumbaro from www.greenpathcreative.com goes to the bride’s house on their wedding day with the bride’s shoes on a platter with money inside the shoes. His offering are at first denied and he puts in more $$$ cash. This is such a fun tradition to see!

Wedding Favor – isn’t it gorgeous?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the chairs were covered. It really gave it such an elegant look!

These gorgeous floral arrangements were done by Pete’s sister – she is so talented!

Even if you usually keep things pretty simple in your decor, a little bling goes a long way!Gorgeous cake – amazing detail on the flowers and the E for their last name gives it an elegant touch.

Greek Orthodox Church, Charlotte, North Carolina

Such a sweet moments between Renee and her mom. They look so much alike! I ADORE these flower girls. They did such a great job and are just so cute!

Unlike traditional American weddings, the koumbaro/a put the rings on the bride and groom and play a huge part during the wedding ceremony – what an honor!

Due to pics like this is that I LOVE this church, so beautiful! I’m a big sucker for chandeliers and gorgeous buildings.

The crowns are a visible reminder that the bride and groom have just become the King and Queen of their newly created family.

While the guests were exciting the church, we took a quick ride to Metropolitan Park area to take a few pictures. It was a great moment to see Renee & Pete truly enjoy their first moments as husband and wife.

Isn’t this so stinking adorable?

I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience Greek dancing at least once in their lifetime – who doesn’t want to throw money in the air?

Have you tried doing the Greek dances?

Do you know anyone getting married in Greece?  One of my DREAMS is to photograph a Greek wedding in GREECE AND do an AFTER session throughout some of Greece’s most gorgeous sites!

Amy + Bryan – Charlotte Wedding Videographer + Asbury Park Grove

As Charlotte Wedding Videographers we have the pleasure of telling your wedding story through video. It’s even more amazing when you have such a fun couple as Amy & Bryan.

Amy & Bryan wanted to maintain some tradition by not seeing each other before the ceremony, they did so with a twist. Each one of them wrote personal cards to each other which would be exchanged on their wedding day. Only their hands touched as they exchanged their cards, Amy’s smile could not be brighter and Bryan had tears of joy. This was not the only area they incorporated a mix of traditions, even though they had a Christian ceremony they wanted to make sure they incorporated Bryan’s Jewish heritage (make sure you watch the end of the trailer!)

Mozoltov Amy & Bryan!
