Dairy Barn Wedding – April & Sayer {Charlotte Wedding Photographer}

Time to update the blog!!!

This has been a SUPER busy month but what wonderful weddings we have had. God’s hand was definitely at work for April & Sayer’s wedding. While they were getting ready it was POURING RAIN yet as we got closer to the Dairy Barn in Fort Mills, SC the rain disappeared and the heavens opened up. We still got to do their fabulous first look in the middle of the peach trees as planned. April’s dress was just gorgeous and Colour by Candace did a great job with April’s makeup and Natalie of Shear Image Salon did a great job on her hair.

April & Sayer had a beautiful ceremony and great reception where DJ Krazy T kept the party going.  April, her family & friends did an AMAZING job decorating the hall. So much of the wedding was DYI – the flowers, decor… hmm maybe someone needs a hobby/job in decor 🙂 It was breathtaking! April & Sayer – We are so happy for you & wish you the best as you begin your married life together. Make sure you check out their engagement session – click here.

Palisades Country Club Wedding – Megan and Ed {Charlotte Wedding Photographer}

Megan & Ed got married at the GORGEOUS Palidades in Lake Wylie. I just loved her hair and make up beautifully done at Dolce Lusso in Fort Hill, SC. Megan has naturally major curly hair like me, Kisha, so I totally appreciate how well her hair was done! Even though the sun was shinning once we left to the Palisades in Rose Chauffeured Limousine it began to rain (extra blessings!) 😉 The Palisades wedding coordinator/catering director, Jessica, did an incredible job getting everything set up for an indoor ceremony.  I must say I was impressed how Megan & Ed kept everything in perspective and focused on what was truly important – each other! Even with the last minute change of plans they still had a beautiful ceremony by Rev. Rebecca Nagy.

Megan has such pretty eyes. This one is one of my favorites!

Was Ed ready to get married to the girl of his dreams or what? He was just so happy all day!

I LOVED how they use the mini cakes as favors and for the seating chart! I had never seen that before… AWESOME! The cake was just beautiful! Having tried to take 2 cake decorating classes and in my opinion (I stink at it!) I totally appreciate the great detail into Megan’s cake by Drema from The Icing & The Cake (they had a pretty cool groom’s cake too). The flower arrangements at the tables by the Carolyn Shepard Design group are probable one of my favorites I’ve ever seen. Everything just looked so beautiful! As always, Vinny’s team from Split Second Sound did a great job. Everyone had a great time!

I’m very happy to say that we did get an opportunity to go outside after it stopped raining and take a few pics. This is just a little sample of the amazing pictures we were able to take.

That blue is so pretty! The girls looks great in their dresses by Impressions Bridal & Prom and the guys looked very handsome in their tuxes from NY Bride and Groom.

I LOVED THESE!

Taylor & Antonio Video Sneak Peek {Charlotte Wedding Videographer | Whitney Photo & Video}

If I had to describe Taylor & Antonio’s wedding in one word I would say “Bellissimo”. Antonio and his family are from Italy so I got to practice my few Italian words (which anyone that knows me knows how much I LOVE speaking in different languages). It was the cherry on top of an amazing wedding!

The day began at Taylor’s custom designed house by her dad. Joni from Creations Hair & Makeup did Taylor’s 20’s inspired hair and make up while the rest of the family got ready. The girls had a toast in front of their limo by five star before they left for the gorgeous Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. As they got there any bride’s nightmare occurred – the pouring rain began! Prayers were answered and the rain stopped with enough time to wipe the chairs dry and still have the outdoor ceremony Taylor & Antonio dreamed of. Thanks so much to Katie from DSBG who helped make it happen.

Purple is definitely an ‘in-style’ color this year which looked great on the bridesmaids and the colorful flowers and bouquets from Carey Roberts Design Co. complemented really well.

The ceremony performed by Rev. Patrick Maloy was just perfect. Antonio began to cry as he saw Taylor walk down the aisle with her father and what touched me the most was Antonio’s brother Luigi cried too. The vows they wrote for each other were so sweet. To think that just 3 years ago when they met in Italy Antonio did not speak English! It was so beautiful, I felt like I was in a romantic movie!

The rain held off for a few minutes to take the family photos and a few of the couple and bridal party (which they were awesome!) We ran indoors to the beautiful great hall for the reception as the rain drops began to fall. The great hall looked put together by Creative Solutions special events looked picture perfect. I LOVED the centerpieces, simple and elegant. The Italian inspired food by Best Creations Catering was amazing as always. Donald and his crew always do a fabulous job!

This was a first for us, the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow came out. Taylor & Antonio ran out with us before it began raining again and took some more pictures (ok so I feel like singing – Over the Rainbow… hehe)

Taylor & Antonio are such a beautiful couple.

During the reception Joey and his crew from Split Second Sound were awesome. The music had the perfect blend of modern American and Italian music. Joey speaks Italian so he was able to MC in English and Italian. I love working with Joey! The party and the dancing began and well it was time for the delicious chocolate cake from Cheesecake, etc. I loved their initials on it too. I think two of my favorite parts during the reception were when Taylor, Antonio danced their first dance and Brianna joined them and when them groomsmen did a little dance and showed off their custom made superhero shirts. Taylor & Antonio – we had so much fun! Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!
