Taylor & Antonio – From Italy to Charlotte, NC {Charlotte Wedding Photographer | Whitney Photography & Video}

If I had to describe Taylor & Antonio’s wedding in one word I would say “Bellissimo”. Antonio and his family are from Italy so I got to practice my few Italian words (which anyone that knows me knows how much I LOVE speaking in different languages). It was the cherry on top of an amazing wedding!

The day began at Taylor’s custom designed house by her dad. Joni from Creations Hair & Makeup did Taylor’s 20’s inspired hair and make up while the rest of the family got ready. The girls had a toast in front of their limo by five star before they left for the gorgeous Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. As they got there any bride’s nightmare occurred – the pouring rain began! Prayers were answered and the rain stopped with enough time to wipe the chairs dry and still have the outdoor ceremony Taylor & Antonio dreamed of. Thanks so much to Katie from DSBG who helped make it happen.

Purple is definitely an ‘in-style’ color this year which looked great on the bridesmaids and the colorful flowers and bouquets from Carey Roberts Design Co. complemented really well.

The ceremony performed by Rev. Patrick Maloy was just perfect. Antonio began to cry as he saw Taylor walk down the aisle with her father and what touched me the most was Antonio’s brother Luigi cried too. The vows they wrote for each other were so sweet. To think that just 3 years ago when they met in Italy Antonio did not speak English! It was so beautiful, I felt like I was in a romantic movie!

The rain held off for a few minutes to take the family photos and a few of the couple and bridal party (which they were awesome!) We ran indoors to the beautiful great hall for the reception as the rain drops began to fall. The great hall looked put together by Creative Solutions special events looked picture perfect. I LOVED the centerpieces, simple and elegant. The Italian inspired food by Best Creations Catering was amazing as always. Donald and his crew always do a fabulous job!

This was a first for us, the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow came out. Taylor & Antonio ran out with us before it began raining again and took some more pictures (ok so I feel like singing – Over the Rainbow… hehe)

Taylor & Antonio are such a beautiful couple.

During the reception Joey and his crew from Split Second Sound were awesome. The music had the perfect blend of modern American and Italian music. Joey speaks Italian so he was able to MC in English and Italian. I love working with Joey! The party and the dancing began and well it was time for the delicious chocolate cake from Cheesecake, etc. I loved their initials on it too. I think two of my favorite parts during the reception were when Taylor, Antonio danced their first dance and Brianna joined them and when them groomsmen did a little dance and showed off their custom made superhero shirts. Taylor & Antonio – we had so much fun! Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!

This was a very sweet moment in which Taylor gave her daughter Brianna a necklace and earrings that were to serve as a reminder of the new family’s union of Taylor, Antonio and Brianna.

Well, since it rained on Taylor & Antonio’s wedding day it limited us on some of the pictures. We decided to do and do an after session at DSBG … here are a few of those … there were so many good ones it was hard to narrow it down!
